The audio player in the car will play songs on a USB drive and actually shows track numbers - but will NOT play or sort songs in a folder/album by track number. Apparently the fix is to add track numbers to the front of the file name for the songs (e.g. 01_Song Title) to sort by track number.
Apparently there are several Mac apps that will rename files, including by adding title track numbers derived from the metadata tags in mp3 files, like A Better Finder Rename. What I want to do though, is rename all the files in multiple folder and subfolders on one USB drive containing thousands of mp3 files from multiple albums/artists.
Anyone know if A Better Finder Rename or other file renaming Mac apps will do this? Snap art 4 1 3 280 cm. It would need to retain the folder/subfolder structures will it renames.
